I was hanging out with some friends @ night about and hour and a half away from where i live at a bar at about 1am in the morning.
i decided to leave as it was starting to snow, and i know my car doesnt do that well in the snow(04 gto)

the road was mostly wet, coming out of the city (denver) the roads started getting Icy, I spun out and hit the barrier on the other side of the road,- note i was going under the speed limit-(about 15 under). my rear end received a little damage. I had my flashers on, sat there for a few minutes to recollect my self. I called me parents to let them know what happened,
so i could possibly get a tow if needed, and my father could come pick me up. anyways right after i get off the phone with my mom, a cop pulls up asks me what happened ect. I tell him and he then issues me a citation for "driving at unsafe speeds for conditions". $128 and 3 pnts.

I suppose having an accident is illegal now days, i did not hit anyone, and nothing was damaged other that the rear end of my car.

denver cops are assholes.

Take it to court, you have nothing to lose.

Technically speaking though, he gave you the right ticket, lol

technically he didn't witness the incident and has no idea how fast he was actually going....can't cite someone for going too fast if you have no idea how fast they were going.

also cant hit a stationary object without moving towards it

but legally speaking, the cop issued a ticket in which he didnt observe said citation, bring it to court and plead not guilty and ask for a dismissal based on a lack of evidence, heck ask the prosecutor to bring the cop in and have him retell how he saw you driving unsafely and recklessly....oh wait.

play your cards right and youll walk away with no fine and no points.

he was actually a castlerock cop i believe. they are even worse

yeah, they are dicks, they always sit on that stretch by the outlets

ive been nailed like 4 times going to AFA hockey games.
