Does anybody know how to work on bmw's here? I know a little about them but am at a standstill right now and need some suggestions.

I am trying to get my bmw working again. I have a 1999 BMW 528i. I can get the car to start while it is in park. It will also run while it is in neutral. As soon as I put it int reverse or drive and try to give it gas, the rpms drop and the car shuts off. The car wasn't running or even starting at all a couple days ago. I put in a new fuel filter, new coils, spark plugs, battery and got a new MAF. What might my problem be?

While it is running in park or neutral how does it run?

As in, does it idle fine? rev fine? or does it have a stutter?

It's running a little rough in park and idle. It was sitting for about a year and half about 3 miles from the beach. It has a stumble in it every 3 or 4 seconds or so. But the rpms dont drop until I put it in Reverse or Drive. When I rev it up in park or neutral it revs up good but if i let off the gas real fast the rpms go to low and stumbles and shuts off
