I have a chance to buy a 1985 Ford 250 for 500. needs work obviously. Any idea on problems with the engine or should I pull the trigger?

cavitation i think is the main issue.

ask them if they used any additives in the engine coolant. if not then pass on it because it means the cylinder walls are probably in bad shape.
