I've helped install a few.

The A&A kit makes the YSI downright convenient for vette guys but the procharger is a better blower imo. The F1X makes the R all but obsolete. You can get 1300bhp out of an R at max impeller rpm. The X is just better.

What is your power goal? The F1C is the best big head unit for a street car. If you are thinking of the step ratio of an R I would just go X. It was designed for the X275 guys so they could have a blower to compete with the turbo cars. The F2 is not allowed in that class.

i want to support around 1100 to the wheel while still being able to drive on the street. Or at least off the trailer and around on the street.
from what i was reading the YSI dosent soak its self in heat as fast or as bad i guess you could say as the F1R/X.

im pretty much leaning to the F1X atm but the F1R is a pretty strong second and the YSI is just something i was looking into due to a friend of mine that pretty much things they're the best thing out.

Vette guys are the only ones that love the vortech like that because A&A makes a wonderful kit with them. Racers run procharger for a reason. The self contained oiling is great too. The R, X, and YSI will all get you go your power goals. Run a big FMIC and E-85 and the heat won't be a problem.

E-85 would be a problem for me 93+meth is 90% chance what i will run due to very few E-85 stations where im from and even less where i live now.

Look up inspector12

he has a 1000whp camaro with an F1R and 6 speed he built 5 or 6 years ago. He also has a turbo car.

Be prepared to grenade the transmission every now and then. Make sure you look into putting a pump on it to spray the head gear set and buy a really nice twin disk like the rebuildable rps.
