Hi everyone. My current situation is annoying.

To start off I got a 2006 Saab 9-3. Basically, it's too much money for me to buy an after market head unit because it is like 600 dollars + to do it, and I don't feel like spending that. So I got a nice deal on a wiring kit amp subs etc and hooked it up via splicing the bass speakers in the back and hooking it up that way, and running the power cable from the battery to the back into the amp.

All is well... the subs bump really nicely, the only problem is I get this static/crackling noise in my speakers. I feel like when I turn my car on it doesn't start off to begin with but when it runs for a bit it starts to do it. It does the crackle/static on the radio and with the auxiliary cable with my phone.

Anyone got any clue why the hell it's doing this? I can deal with it for now but if there is a permanent fix fuck I'll try anything to get rid of it.

who told you it was $600 to do an aftermarket deck in your car?

in all the speakers or just the rears?

well it would have to be custom because of fiber obtics my car has. additionally it would have to be custom made for the center console. numerous shops/people told me that.

also what do you mean by in all the speakers, the static in all the speakers? I think its just the rear I'm not home or near my car atm so i have to get back to u on this

if its just the rear check the connections on them. if the connections are fine then chances are the LOC itself or its wiring is to blame most likely.

rewiring an audio system isn't hard at all. each speaker gets 2 wires ran to it and the head unit has a handful of wires that need rewired. time consuming yes...but not hard at all.

the head unit placement does require a bit of fabrication but getting an aftermarket single din to fit that placement isn't hard. most of the fab work is going to make it look cosmetically pleasing.

Are there no mounting kits for your car?
My double din fits nicely in the kit I got from crutchfield (or somewhere similar).
doesnt look 100% OEM but its a fairly clean fit and was cheap.

That plus a wiring harness and youre good to go.
You can get a decent deck for cheap, I paid $500 for mine on clearance but its moderately high end w/ nav and all that.

But none of that solves your problem (unless the problem is the head unit).
I would see if its possible to wire your subs amp to the head unit instead of splitting off of the speakers. Idk if the stock HU has an additional output but my aftermarket HU had a couple different options (RCA being the most convenient)
