Hi, im thinking about puttin my wrx sti 2012 straight pipe...ive heard many things about it but is it damaging for the engine or something?

im not really a mechanic guy.. so im asking lol

Sounds like complete shit. STi's/scoobys sound best with a correct exhaust system+test pipe.
