So long story short, My new beefy sway bar is bumping into my new beefy lower control arm up front when i hit bumps hard enough, I'm looking at two options, grinding the corner off of the sway bar or cutting about 1/4 inch out of the sway bar links and welding them back together.

Thoughts?

My first thought was,

"These are both bad ideas"

That said, how much grinding would be necessary?

Any pictures?

Depending on how much you have to grind would make the decision for me. If it's more than 1/4" , then you might as well cut and weld.

the sway bar is huge and id be grinding it on the very end and i am sure the amount i will grind wont effect it... pretty sure anyway. cutting the sway bar links has me more worried because though i dont see how i wonder if it would cause some sort of other problems. i might post pictures later but that shit is down in the garage and zzzzzz fuck that.

ok i took some pictures and will upload them

Yeah, I agree. Too many variables with a cut/weld . Grind away. Doesn't sound like a problem.

ok here are the pictures showing the sway bar the end links and where it's hitting the control arm. the shiny line is where it's hit the control arm, it's the same on both sides.

Well apparently I angered the mighty jsp mods too much to post pictures so because of their tears you'll have to click the links.
