Anybody have any experience with these transmissions? Changing the fluid in my 06 to and have a lot of conflicting views on what type of fluid to use.

Forgot to add this is the 6 speed manual.

go in to the napa, or what ever local place you have near you that sells parts and tell them what you have. their computers know what fluid and how much + filter part number.

It has no filter its a manual and GM recommends something other than tremec the manufacturer of the tranny.

isnt that for obvious reasons?
its an older vehicle so go with that tremec recomends. they built the dam thing.

/i hope your not flushing the tranny.

What car do you have? The guys in this forum who would most likely know the most about these is FMX, ride686 and justin_618 seeing as they have all had or have this trans.

It doesn't make sense that GM recommends something other than what tremtec tells you to use...

Like Ib0t said, just go with what napa tells you.

It has 8k miles on it so it needs a change. I just broke it in basically. Also what tremec recommends hasn't always been the best for every application. I tend to do some spirited driving as this is my toy.

I've read those already but I've seen quite a few people saying that the synthetics are better once the trans is warm.
