I thought it would be cool to track the build of my evo ix mr.

I bought it in may 2013 at age of 19 years old. It was completly stock. The price was of 23,500$. It is alot of cash for a freshly formed programmer. No mom's money! In one of my older thread here: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=68418429&f=140&o=30 you can see some of my pictures. I may add some more during the building process.

Stock, an evo has ~240whp. it was enough for me the first month, now it is like a drug and I want MOARR. This winter, I'm gonna work like a damn slave and get some cash to build my evo a little. I don't plan to go all crazy with it (900hp). Just want to wake up some power of this beast. All recommendation / help are welcome.


What I bought for my car so far:

- Cold air intake aem with K&N "shroom"
- Glowshift pillar pod
- Prosport boost gauge
- Prosport Oil pressure gauge
- Swift Spec R Springs


What I plan to buy for the car:

- Wideband + sensor
- Electronic boost controler
- MAP Sensor
- Cable Tactrix
- Evoscan
- O2 housing + downpipe
- Cat back full exhaust
- Ets intercooler kit
- Gaz pump
- Injectors
- Cams
- Tune

Everythings seems to be in order

Make sure you have money aside for when shit fucks up, because it will lol. The build quality on these cars is brutal.

Start with the exhaust, that's always the best bang for your buck on any turbo car.

Exhaust adds maybe 10hp

noted. The last statement was my subtle way of making him build the car slowly so he doesn't blow it up.

True for msot of the times, but I want to buy my "tuning stuff" first. So I don't run out of money with a build car not tuned XD



True, the transmission is their weakness, gotta have bad point huh... But once again, it's all about the driver.
