Probably not an easy job to do yourself. So a hard treated plastic thats sealed properly

It will be going on the back of a flatdeck, fastened and bolted down via the chassis. And I am from Alberta, welder by trade.

I would just get a small dtank or something of that sort. Im sure they sell those tanks for gasoline aswell. ( different stickers will be the only difference )

As long as its under 99 galons you dont need inspections on it.
