An old friend of mine has a 1985 Prelude sitting at his house. He says he will sell it to me for $400 because he doesn't feel like messing with it. He says it ran okay last time he checked, but has been sitting for a year. I'm thinking even if it doesn't run, scarp would be a couple hundred. I'm pretty excited. Anybody know a lot about these cars?

no and no lol. It can't take that much $$ to get it running right? I just want it to drive back and forth to work.

40mpg and a carb. Pretty simple and easy. Hardened seals and gaskets from sitting are your biggest issue.

That's what I'm thinkin. Can't be too bad. probably new plugs/wire/carb rebuild/seals and some new oil.

You can probably get ~500 tax write-off if you donate it.

...Paying $400 for a car, donating it, and being able to take $500 off of your taxable income does not = profit.

Don't buy it, sit in moms basement and dream of owning it, and the $20k stereo you want to put in it, then come jsp and brag about shit like you have a clue even tho you don't.

Or buy it, fix it, drive it, and let it make you a ton of money in gas savings. :)

Oh BTW, the mexi wheels and thin metal gaurd FESTIVA just got a hitch last week, and its already made me money. Paid for itself(hitch install), and probably cod BO2 or elite for my boys tonite..can't decide. Also got new T1R yoyo proxes(195/45/14) on the aspire, paid for with money made using the Festy ;)
