My lighter well power plug randomly sparked and then every new fuse blew. Its a 15a fuse I think there's a ground issue causing an arch but I cannot find where these wires lead can someone help me out?? No a/c its literally just the cigarette lighter that's for power I can't charge my phone nemore.

Should I replace the lighter housing??

The cigarette lighter in most vehicles recieves constant 12v.

Meaning that there will usually only be one wire leading to the back of the lighter socket.

That wire, depending on vehicle, can run either straight to battery positive, or to a dedicated hot in the fuse box (which then has a wire leading from the battery to the fuse box)

Id start by pulling the lighter socket and inspect first.

Pull it out
Rewire it , the guy above me preetty much summed it up on how they work, pretty straight forward
Just disconect the old one entirly. And start over, IF its a bitch and you cant fix it

And if you wanted, you could pick up the outlet and a bracket at a local shop and mount it anywere you want for your convience.

nn power only usb ports. Any decent stereo head unit has 1 built in.

For that matter the cheap WalMart ones do too.
