I'm thinking a bit about getting one instead of an older truck. The only downside I see so far is they came out in 07 so the cheapest I've seen is around 20k
My other option is to spend <8k on a truck and save for a motorcycle.

Also, are the hardtops available for all of the wrangler models or just some? I know the rubicon has a hard top and I prefer the hardtop look at times.
I've also seen some with slanted backs instead of the 90 degree corners, what's the deal with them?

Also, the one I posted doesn't look even half as good as the one I saw on another site, but I lost the link.

You can get a hardtop for any jeep, and the "slanted" top is called a trektop they are soft tops.

Also if you do buy one don't get an 07 I'm pretty sure they had dana 35's the first year they came out then the second year they started putting dana 44's in the rear

I haven't seen many under 20k that weren't 07s.
There is an 08 for $18k but its on 26"DUBs....

I like them more and more I see them. Saw this great looking hard top earlier today actually.

I may or may not be getting one later down the road as casual driver.

I wouldn't get the "slant" or soft top..I would get hard top personal preferences.

I like them. I don't think I'd ever buy one. But I like them.

Hard top is detachable, not the easiest thing to do tho.

It can be bought separately from dealer or aftermarket. Wagon or slantback.

/Oh yeah and they aren't the cheapest. The 2dr sport will be tho.

Fairly sure this is correct.

The good news is that most Jeep Wranglers seem to retain value well.

i'm comfortable driving a vehicle that an astronaut, surgeon, race car driver, jet pilot, ambassador etc drives.

if anything not driving a barbie car makes you a little bitch.
