ok so my honda prelude 1998 has a problem with the drivers side headlight. The bulb is good, but the problem is that when i turn on my low beam lights, the left blinker light on my dash is on, not flashing just on. My left light wont work and my turn signals wont work either. i feel that there is a short somehwere but when i turn my brights on or my lights off the turn signals and light work perfectly. Soemthing is weird and its frustrating me! it happened after i washed my car so maybe water is up there? but today it worked good then as i got down the road about 10-15 minutes it kicked off and the turn signal light came on. and it hasnt worked all night. I dont know!! im stumped im bout ready to just by pass it all and wire my own relays and stuff in. UGH. Help!! i mean where do i start?

vouch... but start at the switches and work your way out from there. If I remember correctly, the high beam switch on those preludes is on the same lever as the turn signals(like a great many other vehicles).

Sorry didnt wanna be like every tool in my area with a gt mustang. And try to race everyone. It's my dd and I don't race it. I know my car is slow, but very reliable.

I did... :,(( I'm hoping it's something simple that I can just find out.. I know my car is old and I'm not bashing all mustang owners, just half in my area think theirs are the fastest on the road. I don't race my car, I'm not dumb. It's my daily that gets decent mpg and was a cheap car. Looks clean not ricey (stupid n1 tho) I don't want a ricer. The wires from the front are in a horrible place. This is gonna be fun. FML

You're going to have to pull out your multimeter and go to town on that bitch.

wire shorting out. you probably got a bare or corroded wire in the wiring to the headlights or turning lights. good luck
