yes I do know who he is, that is not a picture of his car, I have not seen him race once this season, apparently he did Friday night, I just heard about it, I wasn't there.

he was in the #22w hobby stock when it happened.

whats sad is the amount of outrage there has been, these people have no idea

at the local level, I couldn't tell you how many people in the pits/possibly in cars are drinking/using drugs

and now im not saying there all going out hammered and druged out of their minds, BUT! there are a lot of people that smoke pot in California

I don't particularly tend to compare stoned driving to drunk driving, and I'd hate to be on a track with a drunk guy.

In Soviet America, drunk smash YOU!

Sucks for him...the only thing that bothers me a little is that he was driving so that others had to maneuver for him.

Other than that...driving drunk is f*ckin' fun. (I mean don't drink and drive.)'

:edit

Seriously don't drink and drive.

can you get a dui in a racecar on a privately owned track? its not like hes driving a licensed vehicle down the main highway.

This is a good question, the track must have there own rules against it which reflect local/state laws in regards to DUI/DWI is my guess.

Or purhaps location isn't evem a factor, simply being intoxicated behind the wheel (of even a bike) can get you arrested.

Most sanctioning bodies have a paragraph that addresses it in the waiver you sign when you sign up. Out of the ones I've signed I don't recall one that didn't have it.
