Now that's what a Monte is supposed to look like, minus the ridiculous cowl hood. I know it serves a purpose, but I don't fucking like em. BBC?

yeah a 496 he built while working at the local race engine shop. it dyno'd at 540hp and 620 torque but he changed the carb and stuff but never dyno'd the motor again. hes got a built 400 trans in it. he bought the hood but hasnt gotten any of it painted yet.

it went 12.08 at 109 with 3.42 gears. he has 3.73s for it but he has to get a ford 9 inch for it

if its got 3.42s its likely a 10bolt 8.5 being it came in the grand national and the 442 its a bolt in for the monte.

Nice car, not surprised to see the a/c delete and a msd box in its place heh

all in all not a bad monte, would love to see how he did his dash :)

he actually didnt mean to take the a/c out but he was redoing the box around it because of the valve cover and another buddy of his was over helping and had him aggravated over something and he accidently sent the drill bit through the heater core lol. so he just ripped it out anyway. like i said in the above post its still a regular street car its got full factory interior and everything so its still a heavy car. nothing special on the dash he has the voltage, oil, and water gauges mounted under the radio.
