I was riding shotgun and of course she wouldn't quit talking while i was reading some forums TRYING to listen to the radio. I look up and shes got a curb in her sights going about 35 so of course i tell her to watch the fuck out but it was too late. She was going about 20-25 when she hit the curb with the wheel at an angle (it hit on the shoulder of the tread). Of course it destroyed the aluminum rim but its not like that is really that hard to do. So we replace the rim and the tire (picked up a used to get by). Wanted to wait to get the alignment done but their is a grinding noise from the same wheel that hit the curb. It only happens when you turn all the way to the driver side so i jack the car up get the entire front end of the ground. No obvious damage to anything. No vertical axis play in the wheels or play in the cv axles. Completely puzzled so im going to take it in this weekend for an alignment, new tires and front end inspection, but i dont want to get screwed over by some greedy repair guy so looking for a little insight. Any ideas? (other than lessons in paying attention and driving for the girlfriend)

I would hate to see her destroy a Nissan. I think she needs a scooter.

But their is no vertical axis play in the wheel. Guess I'll see what the mechanic says.
