so i gotta get a smog cert at a star station to renew my tags here in california

i have a modified exhaust tip

also have a universal generic o2 sensor in the front (replaced old one cause it was clogged and shit)

and CEL (check engine light) doesnt light up even when i start my car or anything

also have codes

What should i do? do a smog check and get it repaired at the place and pay for it all?
how much does it look like everything will cost?

and i got a code of a p04 or something i believe thats a catalytic converter. ouch

Anyone?

Most places are pass, or re-test free. The individual shop may or may not offer repairs.

Try getting it smogged first; if it's a (fairly) newer model car (like, in the past ten years,) if you've been keeping up with the maintenance AT ALL, it should pass.

...well, yeah; in CA, you have to get your car smogged every other year, to renew your tags. No big whoop.
