so my car is having difficulties shifting gear


2003 toyota rav 4 around 10.5 years old now automatic

this morning just noticed that its all jerky when i accelerate

hit 4000 rpm going 40 km/h then i guess the gear changed and goes back down but the car jerks forward huge.

is something wrong with the transmission?

Normally when a car downshifts while already at a higher rpm it will sort of surge . But defiantly get it check out. Could be a rebuild in your future . Or you may get lucky and its a vss

could also be that the internal crap needs to get cleaned
