Car has about 150k Miles on it and I'm wanting to know what basic things i should clean/replace on it? Bought the car about 6 months ago and haven't done anything besides getting the oil changed. Not looking to increase speed but to prolong the life of the car and improving the already good mpg's it gets.

Air filter
Spark Plugs
Oil

If you're not aware of when other things were changed, have the fluids flushed and refilled fresh [tranny, etc

Okay i can do all of these myself but what about sensors and all that? Lol i haven't worked on anything newer than a 71 before and I'm lost with the sensors for everything.

Details about car:
Runs great and good mpg
High idle when started (1500) i would say and even when i wait a few minutes she doesn't really go down but after i drive her for awhile she idles at like 800.
Randomly dies....Like no sputter or anything but I'll be driving down a road and I'll feel my steering wheel get tight and I'll look down and see it died.....So i pull over wait like 5 seconds and it starts right back up and runs fine for days. Some kind of short maybe? I've taken it back to the dealer and they can't find anything wrong with it. I gave it to em for a week and had one of the shop workers drive it every day to try and get it to die on them but it never did.

A little rough shifting/prolonged shift at first. Rpms drop down below idle rpms when i come to a stop and shoot right back up.

cant hurt to jack it up and check if your axels are all good.

E: oh shit didnt read your post try cleaning your idle air control valve. also start your car warm it up with the radiator cap off till your can cycles on.

can i ask from what rpm to what rpm does the idle jump from?

Starts at 1500

When I start to stop and fully stop it drops to like 400 then goes back too about 800. Feels like your going to die every time you stop.

Any CEL's?

Start small and inspect/clean out your idle air control valve.

ya youve got like a 80% chance of this working. its a pretty common issue on older hondas.
