Just got some new wheels from a buddy of mine today, he had them out in his shed, i washed them but there is still stuff on the surface not coming off.
Will a 0000 Steel Wool and Meguairs Cleaner Wax followed by Never Dull get them pretty shiny?

No idea when it comes to stuff like this.

don't use steel wool first of all.

get some simple green wheel cleaner.

And I used some of the green wheel cleaner at the car wash before taking them home, is that what you meant?
They are used wheels obviously so they arent gonna be perfect, but I want them looking best as possible of course, but im not looking for perfect.

No there is a product called Simple Green

Use that and a non scratching sponge or towel. Chrome IS a coating and it WILL scratch off

this will be more of a scrubbing by hand type of deal. spray on, let it sit, scrub until everything is off of them.

if they have pitting then you just have to live with that unless you want to pay someone to fix it.

One is like really good shape, one is good, one is meh and then another that is the worst, looks like pitting to me. But nothing you can see from 6 feet away so I can live with it cause they are used and basically free wheels.

You can use the 0000 steel wool if it is heavily oxidized. Follow it up with Never Dull polish then buff off.

used to always us s.o.s pads on the rims back when. never had any issues as long as u keep it wet

yeah I ended up using the 0000 steel wool, nothing else suggested or tried was getting what I had on there off
I rubbed it on with Meguiars cleaner wax, and hit it with never dull after
it looks on a 1000x times better it did scratch it some but you can't see it unless you're really close, very light, could prolly get them out
im really happy with them now

You may be able to buff the sctratches out if they're that fine.
