Dunno if this goes here.

But we went to look at a 2005 can am outlander 400 today.

everything was fine with it, except when you went to use the back or front breaks, it would start jerking back and forth and making a clicking noise until you fully stopped.

its not the break fluids either.

ts hard to describe this problem.

any ideas?

can you elaborate on a few points please

jerking back and forth. does this mean like it felt like the brake was letting off and going back on repeatedly or does it mean jerking left and right?

ask them about the last time they had the brakes changed. if they did it at home they could of possibly damaged something.

could be a warped rotor or something not properly tightened. hard to say without being able to take it apart and check it.

if it is just a bent rotor replacing them is fairly easy and cheap.

when you are braking does the brakes stop it good or are they slow to stop it? also are they the front or rear brakes? you could have bad brakes on front or rear causing this.
