2.7 V6

So today on the way home my ETC light started flashing but I noticed no change in RPMs, speed loss/gain, really no issues at all. When I got home I turned the car off and back on and the light went away.. Haven't tried driving anywhere to really test it. I've read that if it comes on solid that its still drivable but if its flashing it should be towed? Anyone have any personal experience with this issue?

Edit: I've read not to take it anywhere for this issue because the steps a computer tells a shop will take will cost you a shit ton just to narrow it down to the ETC or whatever.. Dunno lul

did you take it to autozone they can plug it in for free.

my goes off all the time its some sensor. when i get the funds i might change it out. thinking about trading in my car soon.

my mom just had the exact same car from brand new and never had that issue. the only thing that ever happened to hers in 5 years was the a/c compressor quit working a few weeks ago but they just went ahead and traded in for a brand new one because they had already been thinking of getting another.
