E/ 05 pontiac g5 if it matters

Grinding noise when almost at complete stop

New wheel bearing ( driver side )
New front breaks, expensive ones ( 6 weeks old )
Noise wasnt always there, just within past 2 weeks

Seems like once the car gets warmd up its noticeable
I already inspected the wheel bearing, breaks, routers. All looks perfectly fine
- 2 small chip like scratchs in one router. No way thats causing this

Wtf? Cant be the winter tires making that gnarly of a noise

Its not LOOUD, but its definatly there

Just realized vehicles have rear breaks, could be that. And just the way noise travels through these cars it sounds like the front

Looks like 20 ppl are as atumped as me

I got new breaks and they look perfect, so thas not the issue

Rotors, i have no ldea when they wete changed last , but they are slotted and look ok to me, not warped or anything. Could this be the issue.
Wtf els even turns in the front end tht could cause this?? I dont even see how a wheel bearing can do that

E/ i am working and on my phone ( im a driver ) and im kinda anal about these things. My spling how ever, fuck the touch screen- bear with me and my mistakes

is the grinding better or worse depending on the speed of the car? if you are slowing down and hear it and let off the brake pedal do you still hear it or does it go away? if it doesnt go away when you let off the brake pedal will it still make a noise if you put it in neutral and let it coast?

This can be fixxed by purchasing a nissan sentra.

do u hear it on acceleration? sounds like a seized wheels cylinder or caliper to me but its hard to diagnose noise via the internet lol

Ask someone to drive it in a parking lot and u listen to it as it comes to a stop and find out where its coming from and go from there.

If you are sure it isn't a mechanical brake problem. (like no pad left, metal on metal) It could be something as small as the rotor dust shield rubbing on the rotor at a certain point.

Also could be the newish brake pads breaking in. Little stuff


If you can't feel it in the wheel, and there is no loss of stopping ability, I would keep mental note of it, but don't fuss over it until more symptoms arise. The noise could just go away as you use the new pads.

Ans it only grinds when im heavier on rhe breaks, and approaching the complete stop. Only

It didnt do this when the pads were brand new, why now? It all looked ok when inopened it up

And im anal about this shit, maintance over repairs. I put on a lot of kms, double or triple the avg person idont like prlems lol
