Jdm badge came in today for my usdm trunk and i managed to take the back emblem off. Now im not sure if i should take the two plugs out that were used to hold in the old emblem because of fitment issues or due to the fact that water could seep into the trunk. =/

The back of the jdm one has adhesive that would be used to stick onto the trunk but is larger than the stock one.

See the size difference here

Not sure if i should break some pieces off of the old emblem so I could glue it onto the jdm one so it still has the prongs to fit into the plugs or think of something else.I was thinking of maybe using just the adhesive but i feel like the plugs would get in the way and cause an issue. Any suggestions?

Pretty sure the adhesive on the back of the JDM one will seal it fine. Just make sure to stick it on straight and clean the surface prior.

The thing is, it's not flat. If you look its not completely straight like the usdm one. It's a bit curvey because its meant to fit the jdm trunk. But I can try i suppose.

It looks like the holes are bigger then the actual bracket itself.

Like Decom said, just use an adhesive, but mess around with the angle of the symbol until it is what you desire. Then, just lock it in place with adhesive/sealant.
