Nissan Maxima 2002 - GLE - VQ35DE - (Premium engine motor) for 80k miles i've put 93 in it. so it's not the Gas issue.

I've had this car from 100k to now which is at 180k, about ~10k-20k this has been happening, It's not from the octane/fuel I've changed all the spark plugs with nkg platinum, and filled it up with mobile 1 fully synthetic oil.

I hear the noise first right as I start the vehicle. When revs go back down to idle, right before it hits idle you hear a very faint rattle and the stops at idle.

When I start going around a constant ~1,000-~2,000 rpms with a constant fuel pressure (that's when it can be hear the clearest) when I start up to ~2.5k rpms or higher the noise is gone.

And finally I can hear the noise right as I turn the car off. right as the car turns off from idle, you hear a faint rattle before the engine turns off.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advanced, Andrew.

Things i've checked:
1st - Loose bolts + Loose metal
2nd - Heat shields
3rd - Fuel pressure
4th - Timing chain
5th - Oil level (Yes all oil used was fully synthetic)

Last major repair: Entire new steering rack. inner rods / outer rods + alignment

Every shop i've taken it too says it's the fuel, they want the easiest diagnose, nissan wants $300 for further evaluations.

Their $100 dollar inspection doesn't tell you anything, they just run the OBO II in it and call it a day.

than stand out side the car ( maybe you and a friend who knows a thing or two about cars ) and get your girlfriend or someone els to start / shut the car off, - or what ever els you can do to MAKE it rattle like you say.
and pin - point the best you can.

dont go into doing these things frustrated !! :)

try to determine if its external, or interal.. take it from there..

what i would do.

could be a bearing going out on something hooked up to the serpentine belt.

I've checked serpentine belt nothing on it, the belt is glazed a bit, its medium wear, i'll upload the video of the noise when youtube finishes processing it. don't know how long that takes...

as for bearing, wouldn't the noise get louder as RPM increases?
