Cash is king in a situation like this.
If you're hoping for around 20,000 for the Tahoe, I'd wait.
The e36 M3 is a great car, but don't buy the first one that is offered to you.
I say hold out, and get the cash, then buy something you TRULY want. Not something that just falls into your lap.
There's gotta be a reason why he wants to lose the Bimmer (Beamers are bikes by the way, Bimmers are the cars. So you avoid any flack from pompous BMW fanboys, should you purchase the vehicle)
And yeah, in most states you'll still have to pay taxes on the vehicle. A lot of people will flub the bill of sale a little bit price wise, to avoid paying a higher tax.
ok I probably should of explained. I have 2 vehicles. The tahoe and the mustang.
I owe nothing on the tahoe so anything I sold it for would be straight pocket change. Which is really the ultimate reason why I would consider it.
I'm not planning on selling the tahoe to buy another vehicle, I'd either downsize or outright sell.
I also asked him why he sold after owning it for 4k miles. He said that hes always loved the M3, but that its too small for him. Said hes 6'5 so I guess I could see that being an issue. not sure if this suede's your original post or not
