My Truck ran fine before doing this however sometimes in town it wouldn't let me switch gears so I decided to replace all of it.

I replaced master clutch cylinder

I replaced slave clutch cylinder

I aslo replaced the linde going from the master to the slave.

I bled it up got all air out system but the clutch pedal got really hard to push and me being the dumbass I am decided to force it down well I couldn't get it to do anything afterwards so I took the slave off and seen the rod had come off its groove and got jammed between metal and I figured it was shot so bought a new slave cylinder.

Now I'm bleeding it again but it seems all air is out the system but can get it to disengage the clutch?

been messing with this for 2 days and have no clue as to what is going on.

Thanks for the help!!

Clutch systems are pretty easy to diagnose, but I would like some pictures first, if possible.

Firstly, when you say "disengage the clutch" you actually mean engage the clutch right? or is it stuck IN gear, and you can't get it out?

And

When you say "the rod fell of its groove.....etc......"

are you saying that the slave over extended itself? like it went passed the limit of travel allowed by the length of the shaft?

and you've done nothing to the throw out bearing fork to possibly screw up something in this area? If so

You should check the adjustment of the rod length on the new master cylinder (depending on vechile some slaves have adjustment too). Did you make sure to compare the two before installing the new one?

My first guess would be your pedal is not adjusted correctly. Or....You may still have a little air in the line, but a proper rebleed never hurts.

pretty sure they was the same this is on a 91 chevy c1500 and I would say yes the first new slave way over extended and I had to take some pliers to pull the rod out when I got stuck and no it is not stuck in gear I can change gears with the truck off but once crunk up its not possible

also I think it overextended cause it was the first time Ive installed on and tigheted the top bolt first and then the bottom and didn't know the rod had to be on anything etc my dad was drinkin and didn't feel like doing it...

when you say it wont shift with the truck running just what exactly is it doing when you try to shift? does it not want to come out of gear, does it grind trying to put it into gear, how does your clutch pedal feel when you press it and does it return all the way when you let off of it.

it does return all the way but it feels really easy to push even after 2 hours worth of bleeding, in neutral I crank the truck and it wont go in gear as if the clutch is still engaged and it does try to grind gears if I try to force it. This is all signs of it not being bled properly but I just don't see how this is happening lol.

maybe you should check the clutch fork to see if the ball might have snapped off. also if you have someone that can help you, have them push the clutch while you visually inspect to see whats moving and whats not
