So he was pulling out of the garage and he left his door open to talk to me. the door scraped along the cement wall, and now there's a rather large dent (not like huge, but large + it hits a bit on the right side of the handle (handle still works fine)). It pops the handle up a little bit (the exterior metal, not the handle itself. I've never dealt with dent removal, my friends suggested hairdryer + compressed air, a plunger, those kinds of things.

Does anyone have experience with either of those methods? Suggest any other DIY methods?

Thanks guys!

I'll have to get you one in the morning when there's more light It's no bigger than your hand.

Just googled a picture of the door, this is a rough drawing

, possibly a bit bigger, but that's the part of the handle it hit (the handle itself isn't touched either, just that metal rim around it). It doesn't interfere with the door opening, locking, or any of that.

That's a crappy area to work with. If I were you I'd take the interior door panel off and see if there's any access to that particular part.

Yeah, I was fearing I'd have to do that. Think giving the hairdryer + compressed air (or the plunger) is worth giving a shot first? I have it all around my house, so it'd just take like 10 minutes in the morning to give them a shot.

You can try. Just don't push too hard when you're getting it stuck on there.

Will do cap'n. I'll update when I get a chance, likely tomorrow, but possibly not for another day or so.
Thanks Mike
