So winter in Saskatchewan has been hell, there are still six foot snow piles in certain places right now and all the salt and sand has killed the back bottom area of my wheel wells, and I'm getting a lot of chipped paint.

Basically I want to avoid rust...

It's RWD standard, and you can tell it's from stones hitting the paint and chipping it off... and the combination of stones chipping the paint and the salt and sand peeling it, it's going to get bad fast.

Sooooo, I'm wonder the cheapest way to paint/fix this. I don't have a shop or somewhere indoors to paint so I'm limited on the do it yourself but if anyone has advice on how I could that would be nice.

/e Also need advice on how to make my whole truck shine/rust proof/get rid of little scuffs and scrapes in the paint.

I'm thinking more of washing/sanding/paint matching and painting it.

its gonna happen again because of your area and the weather and stuff so imo it would be a waste of time

If done right, and I put mud flaps on it after to prevent the chipping again it will last for a few years.

No point in letting my truck go to shit, if I didn't drive on gravel roads this summer then the paint wouldn't have chipped and it would have been fine. It's just the chipping started it and the salt/sand made it much worse.

cant tell how big ths chips are. if actual chips you gonna to fill them.
if it is just scratches you might be able to wet sand em out with 1200 grit.
