My 1jz-gte swap has a 2jz-gte water pump, would I need a 2jz-gte thermostat or is the 1jz/2jz thermostats the same?

yep if you look up thermostat they say they work on either. did you receive the new 2jz water pump or did it have the 2jz when you bought it? and did you figure out your gap problem with the thermostat?

I haven't figured it out.

Not sure if it had 2jz pump swap yet or not.

But I ordered one anyways. just to neg the problem if it was the pump, same with radiator.

Can't find anything on how it's supposed to fit!
