Called jeff over at ATS Diesel to have one of our 68rfe autos built for a customer. Ended up talking a little bit too long i think...

This is all going on the 08 "not so dd anymore"

Aurora 7500 Compound kit
ATS Dual Injection pump setup
Studs and fire rings
Injectors -- BIG
2x Fass hd 220gpm lift pumps
all internals will be replaced: Crank, rods, pistons, and a full head
Fully built competition 47RE conversion. Billet everything, 5 star torque converter, stand alone transmission controller, select shift valve body etc etc. Unbreakable they said. Challenge accepted!
EFI live
and everything else to hold the damn thing from blowing into a million pieces.

Should have called a 1-800 sex hotline. Would have been much cheaper with a little less excitement

We will be doing everything in house at ATS and the build will be featured on their website.

The bill up top is for Air, Fuel, and transmission only. Still awaiting the other bill for internals, axles, driveshafts, and Tuna Time.

I'll keep this updated as i get dates and times and more information. ATS is talking about sponsoring the truck for the 2014 and 2015 Work stock pulling season. Shooting for that sexy 1,000 mark at the wheels! Wish us luck :)

Torque on fuel only should be right around the 2050-2150 mark. And to answer your next question, yes, the truck will have a bottle. I can't use it in the workstock class but it will get used at the local brush pulls in "modified" class

diesels love nitrous. when you see all that black smoke blowing out its screaming for more air to help burn that fuel. so you get less smoke and more power.

i think it also may help lower egts but ive heard its pretty damn safe on diesels (probably more so than nitrous on gas engine)

Depends on the tuning. theres some guys that run a 100shot with no tuning at all. Hell, i've even been at dyno events where guys take the air filter assembly off and put a spray nozzle on the end of a bottle and spray right at the inlet of the turbo...
We'll see what it takes and see what the numbers get to be on the dyno. but the truck will be setup with a 400 shot of go fast juice

Tell me about it lol. I laughed when i seen that on there. They offer free installation on all of their competition serious transmissions. Jeff got smartass with me and said he'd even keep the 5year/500,000 mile warranty on it for me. He should know by now we are a little hard on shit around here.
