For Powerstroke and Cummins? Looking to buy my first diesel and I don't remember when they were good. Been Googling around and can't find a solid answer.

Any 6.7 cummins be prepared to do deletes to get a proper running engine and it can be more difficult to find tuners now.

Any 12v cummins is bullet proof. The 24v from 1998.5 to 2002 had some issues with electronic pumps, can be fixed by doing a 12v (ppump swap) 03-07 common rails are bullet proof. 07.5+ is again bullet proof after the dpf+egr go MIA. DPF-R is the only reasonable box out there to get rid of the dpf. Minimax, and xrt by H&S as well as the smarty with ME files are the only "tuners" out there to run code free with egr-dpf removal. They are no longer produced and run about 2x the original price.

as for ford, 7.3L was a rock solid motor. 6.uhhohhh was not good. 6.4TT was slightly better (lol) and the 6.7L is a littler further ahead yet. (still lol'ing)
