Got a nice little 2000 grand am gt today for 400$. 3.4 auto etc... anyways it runs great, tons of power shifts perfect. Had a weird grinding or rubbing sound coming from the front, almost like riding a skateboard down a rough sidewalk.

I'm gunna tear into it tomorrow, any guesses what it is before I do? Brakes, wheel bearing, Cv, other ideas?

shoulda bought a 3.8l those 3.4 are notorious for bad intake gaskets, make sure you change yours

I've had friends who have owned these before. Seems to always have something up with the front suspension. Could be the CV joint.

It was 400$

exactly 400 bucks and it runs and drives, you can go wrong.
probably gonna be a wheel bearing easy fix and not costly

Last car we bought for 400 bucks ended up being a convertible (the hard way)

buddy of mine actually got a 2000 grand am gt 3.4 auto 2 months ago for 600. He's had nothin' but trouble since. Kinda makes his life difficult since he delivers pizza for a living.

That's comforting. Fortunately I know a lot about the history of this car. Good friend of mine owned it, boy did we hahave some good times in that car.
