80% of the time i drive my car, and when i press the clutch in, theres a huge rattle that sounds like its right behind my left front, and it only happens when i shift, never when im driving

same thing happens when im going down an incline with my foot off the gas, it rattles really loud.

It also happens when im just sitting at a light or something, it just echos off cars and rattles

but my car drive and shifts fine (its a 98 saturn sl2)


anyone know what this might be? is my tranny fucked?

could be clutch bearing

sounds like something is up with the clutch

Right now im thinking, probably the throw out bearing.

Either Throwout bearing OR it just so happens when you push the clutch in it is vibrating something just right so you can hear the rattle..
