So, I bought my used vette at the end of February and part of the deal was brand new front tires. The dealer (a Cadillac Dealership 2+ hours away) installs them.
A few days later I notice I'm losing tire pressure in my front driver side tire, take it to NTB, they check it out for almost an hour and say they cant find any leak/puncture in the tire anywhere.
I drive it had some stuff to do so I let it sit in my garage for a few days and the tire pressure stayed relatively close to steady. I start driving it again and the tire pressure dips.
I then took it to my local chevy dealer. They check it out for an hour and do all sorts of tests on the tire and say there is no way its the tire. They notice a small bend on the rim from a pothole hit and say they can remount and seal the tire for $50 but won't guarantee it will fix it.
Car is fine for about a month, then it was warm Sat-Mon so I was out in the car alot and notice the pressure had dropped alot again.
I'm thinking at this point it HAS to be the rim

Happens more when its warmer
Happens more when I'm driving it,
Tire/Sensors/Stems where checked by 2 seperate places and they both said they are good
If I leave it sit for a day or two when its cold the pressure remains just about constant

anyone else have some thoughts before I start hunting for this rim

Car is a 2008 Corvette with Z51 package and z06 rims

you already answered your question..

if it does it while in motion and at higher temp (moving because air expands) then yes your rim is causing you the leak.

nah these are super sexy when they are clean, but you get sooo much brake dust from the big ass z51 brakes.

And, I just learned that they where only made in 08-09 and apparently they didn't come in chrome from GM so this is going to be a fun mission

Would you be cool with a replica? I know of a site that I think sells this rim for around 180 chrome.

I just got in contact with house of wheels (was told by members of corvette forum that they stock them). They said 250 shipped for repro, 300 shipped for a chromed GM. I'm waiting on a reply from West Coast Corvettes on a price as they stock them too

I'm going to check the rest of the set tomorrow to see if they are GM or repros so I can keep them matching (hoping they are GM), but you can PM me the link to the site and I'll take a peek
