While I was at work my girl brought in her car to get an oil change + check the charging system cause she's been having problems starting her car. She later calls me and says she about to have her battery & starter replaced + the oil for like 500 bucks.. Right away told her to cancel the battery + starter because that's a ridiculous price anyway. But I have a brand new battery laying around she can have, but her mom insisted on getting the battery. So that was like 110 bucks..

I called the place just to make sure they weren't doing anything idiotic and just mentioned that I had a battery laying around so it sucks that they had to pay for one. But he then tells me that it's a special battery, a "reverse polarity" battery and that my battery might not be one of them...

Are you fucking kidding me...

What she might mean is that some batterys have the posts reversed. The battery is still regular polarity though lol

It's a 03 sable. But the deed was already done so wasn't worried about it. I'll take a look later tonight to check.

uhhh basically a ford taurus... I've slapped a random battery on one.... they're full of crap. My mother drove one of those for 4 years. During those years her alternator died and we had to swap out her battery. I got a rando battery from walmart that had the same cranking amps as the old one. They're completely full of shit.

Must have a factory flux capacitor... Why else would you need a reverse polarity battery?
