Ok ive had this car since 149k

since then ive replaced the engine and the transmission
engine was replaced with a 79k engine
and tranny was rebuilt completely.
cost about 5k all together

1.5 years later and after another 3k in parts done to the car, car now has 190k

my tranny is acting funny like seemed like it was slipping only wierder it would shift completely off time and slip a bit and then jerk real hard but sometimes drive fine
so i took it back to the place that rebuilt my tranny and they said my warranty was voided because i drove 28k miles in 1.5 years and they warranted it for 24k.
after 2 weeks of having my car they said the problem was electrical . and they said they couldnt find the exact problem but they tried replacing my valve body and they said the car drove fine. so i paid 600 $ for that just for the part they said they didnt charge me labour. but they warranted it for another year. 2 days it was driving fine and then it just started fucking up different than before though.
sometimes it gets stuck in 5th gear and acts like a CVT transmission but the maxima is supposed to be a 5 speed AT. when i switch it into manual mode it keep saying 5 (5th gear) and when i try to down shift it, it does nothing.

now i did put some lucas oil engine stabilizer because i have a loud timing chain rattle due to the tensioner(common problem for maximas) and i was told that this problem could also have to do with cam shaft positioning sensor or the MAF sensor.

any nissan experts in here?

Hmmm I would agree that it does sound like a sensor issue. It sucks you already paid $600 for them to effectively do nothing. I feel for you on this one because I have had my fair share of transmission headaches.

Im assuming no codes are poping up?

Does it change when the transmission is cold or warm?

Any odd noises?

Fluid smell or look burnt?

actually when the problem is occuring, if i put it in reverse from park it will thud really hard going into gear.(usually only happens when it warmed up) , also when i put it into drive from park it also hits really hard into gear moves the whole car almost.
but if i turn it off for 2 minute and start it back up the problem goes away, so far its only happened when ive been driving it for longer periods of time.

but the check engine light has been on this bitch ever since i changed the engine. something about bank 1 lean or something think its got to do with the catalytic converter.

ps- have not checked tranny fluid.
