I really like the 98-01 ram's, my uncle had one and I guess it is rather nostalgic, but I was curious what you guys think would be the best choice in this price range? I'd like to keep the mileage as low as possible as well, not trying to go over like 130k and it must be 4x4 ofc..

Personally, I'd like to steer clear of ford's, but really I am just looking for whatever advice you guys can offer!

If location matters, Philadelphia, Pa.

If you're looking at dodge rams you should only spend 5500 of your 7k, so you have 1500 to replace the transmission when it shits the bed on you.

Just stating the max I wanted to spend was 7k. Since you do not like dodge it appears, what would you recommend as an alternative.

Not that he hates them they're known (especially in that year range) for transmissions needing to be rebuild/replaced.

The z71 in those years look decent. Look at some of those too.

When it comes to trucks everyone has their preference and the rest are just shit, it's the way she goes. Next someone Will come in here and say the same thing about ford, then chev etc etc. Late 90s Cummins are great trucks.

Good point. A diesel is a bit excessive for me though.

I like the z71's, only problem is when searching for them about a month ago, I couldn't find any that weren't completely beat to shit. That really goes for most of the trucks in my range tbh.
