hi, i currently have a 2006 toyota tundra with Borla dual exhaust system, K&N cold air intake, and Gibson headers

it sounds pretty nice and i love the deep sound from Borla but i feel like its not reaching its full potential

wondering if taking off the resonator ( which comes in between the cat converters and the muffler ) would be a good or bad idea?

and if i was to take it off should i replace with straight pipe, or a glasspack?

lmk if anyone has done this, and what results they found to be best ( hoping by improving the airflow it will give it a nice louder/deeper sound , not a shitty sound like flowmasters and other cheap brands )

Go for it. Just replace it with regular pipe and it should sound pretty good. I wouldn't expect any real performance gain from it though.

The resonator actually makes the sound a little deeper, and less harsh. Its gonna sound raw as hell without it, but some people like that kind of thing.
I will tell you this: It will get really annoying when driving long distances.
