and bought a oil filter wrench, fucker is handy lol. such a pain in the ass to get to it on the mini van jesus

i just get a clamp wrench and just unscrew it like that. Sure you crush the filter but you throw it away anyways lol

if u can fit it we used to just impale it with a screwdriver and go.

ive done this before helps with not spilling oil everywhere also ^_^

one of the first tools ive bought was a claw for taking the filter off since at the time i was doing alot of oil changes n it made it soo easy

Shouldn't be on to the point that the filter is difficult to take off. Most of the time I just wrap a piece of sandpaper around the filter and twist it off.
I do own several oil filter wrenches though. Always good to have for the people that think the thing has to be on at 100ft lbs.

Try an oil change on the 6.7L cummins without a relocation kit... Talk about getting a bath.. Fucker is RIGHT on top of the downpipe - crossmember... What a puke ass design that was.

ya when we bought it fromt he dealership they changed the oil last time. it was stcuk on there like you wouldnt believe lol. its tucked right inbetween the frame and the engine block. i had like just enough room to fit my wrist in there

I'm here to tell you. "filter comes strait down, no mess" is a load of shit.... Not to mention, trying to get a wrench on these damn things is next to impossible.
