In a nutshell, a lancer owner posts on the forum about his tools being stolen and recovered, the thief notices the thread joins the forum and boasts. Someone then uses his email address to get his facebook, house address and photos etc. Queue torrents of abuse! This is on hundreds of car forums already its taking off like nothing ive seen!

There is a similar thread on LS1 tech I have been following for awhile. Some guy stole a dodge 2500 tow truck with a 5 wheel attached containing 150K race car + tools, etc. in it @ a track down south. They found out who did it, where he lives, etc. and posted it ALL OVER the internet. Not only are the cops looking for this idiot but random people are on the roads looking for him. I have a feeling he is going to get hurt real bad before the cops get him. Apparently they have an insider telling them where the guy is headed with his shit haha

As much as I don't want to see people get their shit stolen, Iiii'm gonna have to agree.

I bought a few things from the MAC tools truck at my old shop, and holy fuck, the prices they charge for things... A guy I work with bought a fancy wrench set (1/4" - 1", pretty standard, just MAC's new at the time "Knuckle Saver" wrenches); he was on a tab, and made one payment of $100. And then a second, and a third. Then he said that he must have those wrenches paid off by now, and the MAC guy told him he still had one payment left of $100.

Fuck that.

Still if you had spent all that money on snap on tools and they all got stolen, you would be pretty pissed.
