In 2006 did they start making turbo charged cobalts?
Or did this guy throw in a turbo?

im pretty sure these are supercharged from the factory not turbod but i could be wrong

not sure what year but the cobalt ss did come with a turbo. i think it was split. early years were supercharged and later were turboed or the other way around. if its a 2.0 liter motor he added it. if its the 2.4(i think it was 2.4) then its stock

He said he replaced the engine and it has 57k miles
what should I look out for ?

There are super charged and turbo versions of these, if u want to buy it I suggest haves prepurchase inspection done along with a compression test.

im pretty sure the turbo ones didnt start being made until 2007 iirc, it probably has a swapped motor from on in a scrap yard maybe

2008 actually and its prob a lsj swapped turbo aka took the supercharger off

easy way to tell get a pic of the engin*** if its the 2.0 and has fuel injectors its a lsj turbo swap. if its a 2.2L turbo swap i would stay far away from this car

also beware i think thats actually a base model dosnt have lip kit and thats a base model steering wheel in pic

this is right also, the turbos are 2.0's the 2.2s i wouldnt touch either
