So just bought this bike pretty blindly. Not running atm, just put a battery in.
When i turn the key the oil & gas light turn on & doesn't turn over.
As you see in the pic its missing the throttle, idk which parts i need cause i honestly know nothing about bikes lol.( the throttle cable is there, and a few other misc wires. )
Its a 1997 yzf600 , same year as my mustang
Some random wires not plugged in and such.. was wondering if anyone knew about bikes that could help me figure some stuff out.

is that the kill switch on the side with wires undone?

thats most likely the problem.

I didnt really see if they plug in anywhere cause im still missing the throttle piece & handle.
But i did see a few wires ; ima rip it apart a little tomorow.
Do bike shops usually charge a lot for work ? This is my first bike, rather just fix the little stuff right and pay a little bit then fuck it up.
But ya the kill switch is on that side.

Try to google a wiring diagram. It's pretty hard to say what goes where from this picture.

I think it might be cause NO gas , i hear the fuel pump gargle for gas when i turn the key.
But im just worried about the throttle. What pieces i would need.?
Im gona get gas & do an oil change tomorow & hook up any loose wires i can.

Should be able to get a throttle assembly and just install it.
