Buy a dd beater. Save more money... Or use the money as a down payment on something good.

you want something quick you had a srt4 neon and cobalt ss in mind? 14+second cars aren't quick.

get a civic/accord and daily drive it because its barely slower and you don't have to deal with the reliability and maintenance cost of a cheap turbo car.

currently driving a 2001 wolfsburg jetta, I was gonna it and use that for a down payment
its turbo'd

looking for a car faster than that, an srt4 or ss i'm sure will beat my little jetta

I would like a wrx, but I driving 25 miles to the university, 50 back and forth total

doesn't have to be turbod or ss'd, maybe a nice 6 cylinder like a 350z, 300zx, g35

but i feel like that exceeds the 8k

use that 7k for a down payment on a car.
Assuming you have credit and a job and can afford to make payments.

Buy something for 17k, finance for 10k, its only like $160 a month @ 5 years
