ah thanks. and yeah the wife and i were watching it and she started freaking out when he slid it sideways the first time lol. i cant believe they are seriously thinking about arresting him over this. i actually forgot to post the link to the story

pretty cool video and a neat place to ride. Id be pretty terrified at those speeds but I also dont really know how to slide so Im kinda SOL when it comes to slowing down.

nothing like a little speed wobble on a skateboard at 40+ mph to make your butthole shut like a time lock on a bank vault.

Although, long boards handle the speed much better, that being said 70 mph is fucking fast on anything with wheels.

a buddy of mine had a moped we'd ride in middle school when no one could drive

50 down the neighborhood streets felt like i was about to launch into space xD

My stand up jet ski will hit close to 50. Thats pretty scary even when your on water. Water is pretty hard when you hit it with some speed.
Hitting water at 30 is enough to give you some trouble. I forgot half a day after wiping out wake boarding. All of a sudden it was like "when did we come to the lake?" while im sitting in the water with my board.

A similar fall on a long board would suck.

My personal favorite wakeboarding fall: when you hit the water so hard that not only your board rips off yohr feet, but your damn swim trunks too. Yeah water is essentially cement at 50 Mph.
