Howdy

Got a 1994 jeep GC 5.2l (zj) 117k miles. Drive highway almost exclusively. Getting ~14mpg. Is there any things I could do to improve the mpg (besides driving style and/or selling it). Recently new ECU, tires, dist cap. FWIW I put 85 fuel in it, live at 5,000 ft altitude

Thanks

air filter, oil change and good tire pressure might make a change but jeeps are known for bad gas mileage

Ok. Should've expected that I guess. How hard is working on 90's civic/accord/corolla's? If I were to trade I'd like a car that's reliable and more importantly, easy to work on (don't we all), with good mpg. My cousin said he had to drop the motor on his accord to change the timing belt (maybe that's just life though)

yeah they are just like that. its really not that bad if you have an idea of what youre doing. we used to have a 1990 2 door honda accord we used for going to work about 2 hours away and it was a good solid running car. we had to put a pcm in it once though the old one fried but other than that no big trouble with it. they are easy to work on and google can help you out if you arent certain on how to fix something on it.
