What does it mean when "Fuel Economy" lights up in my car?

They gave you an owners manual for a reason...
What kind of car?
Were you low on gas/just filled up?
Was it lit up when you turned the car on? or after driving a bit?
Was it cold outside?

it means you've run out of oil and your engine's about to explode and the only way to fix it is to run to the nearest gas station and to buy 10 energy drinks called "NOS" and pour them all into your gas tank.

all trolling aside i would figure it means you are driving in such a way its optimal for fuel economy.

Put a rag into your gas tank and light it up.

About it, shouldn't be a problem should be a easy fix.

It usually means you're using too much fuel.
Get your O2 sensors checked out, and have your computer read. Those are the first two things I'd try regardless of what vehicle you have.

To OP: it means that your car is tired of the Big Three and Oil lobby, pushing back against alternate fuel sources, like pure electric cars or biodiesel. You should write your state represenative today.
