these turn signals on motorcycle. I believe i just take those wire ends and put them on the wire ends that connect to the harness (4x) and plug it in. is that correct? only other question is the colors dont match up to the same colors, how do you figure out which is which? or just trial and error?

Did the turn signals come with a wiring diagram telling you what wires do what? if so i'm sure you can find the stock harness wiring diagram online for your bike somewhere. Try a forum that is specific to your bike

Goodluck man. I suggest you don't go wiring it up by guessing cause you could short something out ><

By looking at it the green goes to the switch since they are the same color and the turn signals go to the same switch/relay.

Or they stand for earth ground. Who knows? As those look like aftermarket parts. But youre not gonna mess anything up if you just jumper the lights and test it out.

i couldn't find a 500 wiring diagram here is a 250 http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/attachments/help-me-fix/113869d1171773100-ninja-250-turn-signals-wiring_schematic.jpg
both those greens will prob go together then the other 2 will trigger either left or right.
on the bike harness, do you also have a common color on the left and right side? if so hook them up to the greens, you should then only have 1 option left on each side and voila.
this is a guess chec your stuff to be sure!

well the old signals had wires that were clamped to other wires that went to the harness, i removed the old signals from the clamp to the signal and the rest of the wire is still tehre... i thought these would just go to those same wires since there were 2 connectors each in the old signals too. also i believe the four coming from the harness are 1 from each signal and 1 ground and 1 of something else prob going to the switch or something... those are all still tehre i only disconnected the 2 from the turn signals that were clamped

also, arent those things on the ends for clamping onto the other wires? (metal hollowed out cone looking things)

metal hollowed out cone looking things = connection terminals ;)

a picture would help us to understand each other.
you have removed/disconected the old turn signals witch had wires with terminal.(both sides)
all you should have to do is put in the new turn signal and connect those terminals in the same place you disconnected the old ones once you figured out witch one goes where.

make a list of the colors you have
Old right side turn signal wire colors
Old left side turn signal wire colors
bike harness right side turn signal wire colors
bike harness left side turn signal wire colors
new right side turn signal wire colors
new left side turn signal wire colors

also it would be great if you remembered witch old signal wire color went with witch bike harness wire color if they don't match.
write them down on a piece of paper it might help you

most likely , they come in various shapes and sizes. my guess was they clip/clamp/plug in the same way you took the old ones out.
here is a video, you can actually have to crimp both ends of the terminal, witch is not the case in this video.
