Im looking to get a batter powered impact gun..but not looking to spend the money for snap on..

I just need something for my dirtbike and random stuff..not something im going to use alot since most i can do by hand, just want something laying around

Best sites to buy from with good deals? Or would going to like lowes/home depot etc be good enough?

if it helps my budget is $100

i got 2, 1 is a goodyear racing 24v 1/2drive impact gun witch was around 100$, i dont remember exactly, also came with main socket sizes for wheel nuts.
i also have a compact dewalt driver that i use sometime for mechanical stuff with an 1/4to 1/2 adapter but that was 250$ on rebate(comes with the 1/2drill and 3rd batteries)
with either of them i always use a breaker bar or ratchet to break the nuts loose or else you will end up killing the batteries quickly, especially with 100$ impact
i bought the goodyear gun at canadian tire. but pretty sure you can get something similar or better for the same price, especially if your in the us

imo get an electric impact if you dont want the pneumatic. is this something you would be wanting to take with you when you go riding or basically just for shop use?

shop/home use, not to take with me.

Like i said I dont need anything fancy because most of it is hand stuff, but I just want something handy, to take my car tires off when needed, or just random stuff here and there.

I would prefer cordless though, just incase I have to take it somewhere with no power source

ive never used a battery powered impact but i would check into how effective they are. how much torque does it have and can you take off 4 tires and put them back on without using something else to help. if you have to use a breaker bar or something to get them broken loose i dont see the point in having an impact at all. yeah you are tethered to a cord with the electric but they work very well and you dont have a noisy air compressor running.

imo check out the electric also before you make a final decision on this. dont rush into a purchase you may regret later.

Well if price is the only issue... Get you a Lowes (or other business) credit card and let it ride for a few months til you pay off the good ones man. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

chances are he wont be removing all 4 wheels simply with the impac gun, i always use my breaker bar to push every bolt once then go with the gun its very quick. My dewalt impact can manage taking off on its own i did it on my moms car and my dads s10
but i dont think i could pull it off with my gooddyear impact unless it was brand new.

Not cheap, but the MAkita Impacts are very good.

It won't take my wheels off after a shop has gotten a hold of them with air tools, but wheels aren't supposed to be that tight anyway. IT puts out a good 120 ft.lbs. Aluminum wheels only require 80-90 ft lbs.

kind of defeats the purpose of having an impact if you have to use a breaker bar first though imo

just makes it way faster to screw things on/off without having to yank an air line or power cord around.
